Restoration Vasari Corridor roof
Have been concluded in these days the repair work, and subsequent restructuring, of a roof portion above Vasari Corridor. The fall of a small roof beam near Santa Felicita church, in the middle of last August, has made it possible to detect a state of widespread degradation of the roof for a distance of one hundred mt, in Vasari Corridor stretch that runs towards Pitti, parallel to via Guicciardini, in correspondence of the inner part of houses and gardens. The restoration work planned and directed by Antonio Godoli, Uffizi Gallery architect, along with the technical manager Antonio Russo and that of site safety Franco Storia, has affected an area of over 400 square meters of roof.
