New staging for the Rooms of the Fifteenth Century
Preceded of a major plant improvement, the new construction of several halls of the Uffizi Gallery (from number 25 to number 32) dedicated to the second XV was possible thanks to the generous donation by the Salvatore Ferragamo SpA, signed the act signed May 12, 2014 in the presence of the then Superintendent, Cristina Acidini, the Director Antonio Natali and Ferruccio Ferragamo, Chairman of the eponymous group.

Eight works on wood by Luca Pignatelli

September 28, 2015 in the classroom of the former Church of St. Peter Scheraggio took place the ceremony of donation of the self to the Uffizi Gallery of Luca Pignatelli, entitled Mithridates, King of Pontus. On this occasion he was opened by the Director of the Uffizi Gallery Antonio Natali, the Fireplace Room adjacent to the Prints and Drawings Department of the Uffizi, the exhibition entitled "Migrants", including the self-portrait and eight other works on wood (made mixed media on canvas by the artist from Milan).
